The teepee - La tipi

You all know that our mami is a bit 'nutty'. Well... Tired of our complaints for not having a treehouse in our garden yet, she decided to build us a teepee, a North-American Indian tent. The most surprising was that uncle David and aunty Esther joined in diligently as soon as mami texted them 'mayday mayday'. Wow! We were most impressed! We love it! We just hope our teepee will stand the ghastly wind we sometimes get up here! Otherwise, I'm afraid, it'll be 'gone with the wind'.

Todos sabéis que nuestra mami esta algo 'sonada'. Bueno... Cansada de nuestras quejas por no tener aún una casa-del-árbol en el jardín, decidió contruirnos una tipi, una tienda india. Lo más sorprendente es que Tiet David y Tieta Esther se apuntaron con premura tan pronto como mami les envió un sms 'mayday mayday'. Wow! Estamos impresionados! Nos encanta! Tan sólo esperamos que nuestra tipi soporte los vendavales que a veces soplan por aquí arriba! De lo contrario, me temo, que será 'lo que el viento se llevó'.

White grubs - Gusanos cortones

I found about 20 of these worms in our garden. I digged them out and left them outside for the birds because these worms eat the plants' roots and stems killing them. Mami found them rather disgusting. I thought them interesting.

He encontrado unos 20 de estos gusanos en nuestro jardín. Los desenterré y los dejé fuera para los pájaros porque estos gusanos se comen las raíces y los tallos de las plantas matándolas. A Mami le parecen asquerosos. Para mí son interesantes.

Today we did some gardening and, while helping Mami weeding, Rowan found a 4-leaved clover. Mami said he could make a wish. Then I looked for another 4-leaved clover, but it took me ages to find it and it was much smaller than Rowan's. It probably meant my wish had to be smaller as well!!! :0(

Hoy hicimos de jardineros y, mientras ayudábamos a Mami a arrancar las malas hierbas, Rowan encontró un trébol de 4 hojas. Mami dijo que podía pedir un deseo. Entonces me puse a buscar yo otro que me llevó un siglo encontar y que era mucho más pequeño que el de Rowan. Probablemente significaba que mi deseo tenía que ser también más pequeño!!! :0(
