Telling the time - Aprendiendo las Horas

We have been learning how to tell the time for a while with Mami and we thought it would be nice to make another lapbook, so we did. Apart from learning about ways of telling the time: sundials, hourglasses, water clocks... We made a game, built a sundial and did lots of different activities related to telling the time.

Hemos estado aprendiendo las horas desde hace un tiempo y pensamos que sería bueno hacer un ProyectoLibro sobre ello, así que lo hemos hecho. Aparte de aprender diferentes maneras de saber las horas: relojes solares, de arena, de agua... Hemos hecho un juego, construimos un reloj de sol y montones de diferentes actividades relacionadas con las horas.

Lapbook 1.2 - ProyectoLibro 1.2: the Solar System - el Sistema Solar

Well, well, this is getting more and more complex by the week. Mami says now that, in fact, there are only 8 planets in our solar system and that Pluto is a 'dwarf', we've found out about the moon and the sun's influence on the seas, Mami and Daddy were walking around the frontroom pretending to be walking on the moon, extremely slowly and as if they didn't weigh much, then they acted out a boxing round and Rowan was splitting his sides. But what kind of parents are these??? Finally Mami made some salt dough and we made the planets... What a tiring weekend!

Bueno, esto se va complicando por semanas. Mami dice ahora que en realidad sólo hay 8 planetas en nuestro sistema solar y que Plutón es un 'enano', nos hemos enterado de la influencia del Sol y la Luna en los mares, Mami y Daddy andaban por el comedor fingiendo estar caminando por la superficie lunar, superlentos y como si no pesaran, luego han fingido una pelea de boxeo y Rowan se desternillaba. Pero ¿qué clase de padres son estos??? Para acabar Mami nos ha hecho pasta de sal y hemos 'fabricado' los planetas... ¡Qué fin de semana más agotador!

We started our first Lapbook today. It's on the solar system and it has got very interesting things we shall learn. It's not finished yet, but soon! We have to find information about Copernicus + Galileo.

Empezamos nuestro primer ProyectoLibro hoy. Es sobre el sistema solar y tiene muchas cosas interesantes que aprenderemos. No está terminado aún, pero lo estará pronto! Tenemos que encontrar información sobre Copérnico y Galileo.
